With the theme “Revival and reconstruction”, the organizers said that the total number of nominations participating in the evaluation process of the VinFuture Award season 2 is 970, coming from scientists and prestigious organizations from more than 70 countries on 6 continents; focus on important works and inventions that help solve humanity’s great challenges to post-pandemic revival such as health and food, environment and sustainable energy, as well as the application of technology in all aspects of life.

Accordingly, leading the number of partners nominated for season 2 are Asian scientists with 34.6%; followed by America 29.8%; Europe 16.2% and Oceania 7%. In particular, the percentage of nominated partners from Africa is up to 12.4% – an increase of more than 6 times compared to 2021.

In terms of quality, 6 continents reported that 584 of the 2,618 nominating partners were authors from the top 2% of the world’s most cited researchers registered, more than doubling from 2021. .

941 nomination partners come from 500 leading universities and research institutes in the world such as: Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale University (USA), Oxford University (United Kingdom), Karolinska Institutet (United Kingdom). Switzerland)…
