In addition, the patient should eat foods that absorb acid such as cakes, cookies, bread… or dishes that reduce gastric secretion such as porridge, rice, sticky rice, bread, sweet potatoes , boiled potatoes … relieve pain.

In the treatment of stomach pain, patients should eat young leafy vegetables such as cabbage, bean sprouts, etc., which provide abundant amounts of vitamin K, U, and effective treatment support. Foods rich in protein, calcium, zinc (lean meat, fish, shrimp, crab…) also help ulcers heal quickly.

People with stomach pain are prone to vitamin and mineral deficiencies leading to poor digestion and absorption. You should add red fruits, dark green vegetables, whole grains… are foods rich in vitamins A, B, D, magnesium, iron, and zinc.

Limit the use of foods high in fatty acids such as grilled meats, smoked meats, stir-fried, fried, roasted or industrially processed, prepackaged foods such as canned goods, cold cuts; Do not drink tea at night.

Do not eat fried grease and fried many times from donuts, chips, fish balls, beef balls, fried shrimp balls, fried chicken…; moldy foods such as moldy peanuts, moldy peas, moldy pumpkin seeds, melon seeds, sunflower seeds…; stimulants such as alcohol, beer, tobacco, carbonated drinks…

Eat less than 5g of salt per day, equivalent to a teaspoon. People with high blood pressure should only eat 2 g of salt, 100 g of red meat (buffalo, cow, pig…) a day, not more than 400-500 g a week. Should eat many meals, including snacks from yogurt, fruit, do not eat when hungry. Don’t overeat, don’t get too hungry.

Provide enough water during the day from drinking water, soup, milk, fruit juice…, do not let thirst to drink. Do gentle exercise such as walking, table tennis, badminton, cycling… at least 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. Sleep 6 to 8 hours a day.

Doctors advise people with a high risk of stomach cancer, a family history of stomach cancer, stomach ulcers, epigastric pain, indigestion, nausea or vomiting. .. then need to go to medical facilities with gastroscopy to check. Periodic health check, especially the elderly, including early cancer screening.
