Tran Dai’s national costume with the image of rice plants

On the evening of May 20, costumes were selected from four designs in the final round. The judges for this round include designers Chung Thanh Phong, Adrian Anh Tuan, Ngo Manh Dong Dong, and Miss Huong Giang.

Nguyen Minh Triet said Real Kim Inspired by the motifs of rice plants, storks, cranes, sun, ao dai combined with four bodies, to convey the beauty of Vietnamese culture. He got the idea six months before the costume contest took place, taking nearly a year to edit the sketch.

The highlight of the dress is the back ring bearing the sun symbol. This detail is attached from the waist and shoulder, removable, using rattan material to reduce weight. The main part of the frame is made of pressed wood, attached to the image of a rice flower close to the wearer’s shoulder.

The image of the stork is shown through the brooch, the highlight is the jewel in the chest. The hem is made of silk, printed with the sun on the tail. The collar has a crane motif. The pants are sewn wide and puffy, using Lanh My A material to prevent wrinkles, easy to catch light.

Judge Chung Thanh Phong commented Real Kim There are many new features compared to previous national costumes with the same inspiration. However, he suggested that the design is detailed, such as the image of the sun appearing on the chest, wings, and tail, which should be restrained to avoid confusion. Outfits are currently being tweaked, finished products, introduced in June.

Nguyen Minh Triet was born in 2003 from Dong Nai, a student at Van Lang University. Recently, he participated in designing national costumes for Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, entering the Top 41 excellent costumes.

Tran Dai full name Phung Truong Tran Dai, born in 1992, is the youngest child in a family of six siblings in Ho Chi Minh City. She is 1.71 m tall, measuring 90-62-91 cm, commented to have the same face and contours Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters. At the age of eight, Tran Dai realized her own sexual orientation. At the age of 15, she went to Thailand to undergo gender reassignment surgery.

She graduated with a degree in Skin Care from the Asian American Beauty College in the US. In October 2020, she left her job in California, USA, and returned to Vietnam to take the exam Perfect Ambassador and Crowned.

The beauty is a Vietnamese contestant at Miss International Queen 2021 but postponed due to Covid-19. She will return to the competition in June, held in Thailand. The reigning Miss Valentina FluchaireMexico, will hand the crown to its successor on the finale.
