Currency market, exchange rate and interest rate are stable; Credit balance by the end of April increased by 7.18% compared to the end of last year. State budget revenue reached over VND 657 trillion, an increase of more than 15% over the same period. Economic growth in the first quarter reached 5.03%, higher than the same period 2 years ago.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh said: “Implemented three strategic breakthroughs according to the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, economic restructuring associated with growth model innovation is focused and directed. The Government has issued implementation of the Action Program to implement the National Assembly’s Resolution on economic restructuring for the period of 2021 – 2025. According to the Government’s report, in the first four months of the year, more than 80,000 enterprises were newly established and returned to operation, an increase of nearly 27% over the same period. The Government’s report also clearly shows that the fight against corruption and negativity has been implemented drastically, synchronously and comprehensively in the spirit of the Central Steering Committee and has achieved important results.

The backlogs that have lasted for many years are being solved step by step with certainty and efficiency. The fields of culture, society, environment, national defense, security and foreign affairs have all achieved positive results; People’s living standards continue to improve. The results achieved have created an atmosphere of excitement in the whole society.

Regarding the shortcomings and limitations, the Government’s report has shown that the production and business activities of enterprises and people still face many difficulties. Many supply chains continue to be affected; prices of input materials, especially petrol and oil prices, fluctuate a lot; energy conversion is still slow; Export turnover also depends heavily on foreign-invested enterprises, the stock market, corporate bonds and real estate have many potential risks. The implementation of the National Target Programs and some contents of the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program has been slow.

Regarding the key tasks in the coming time, the Government’s report emphasized: The target of economic growth from 6% to 6.5% is a huge challenge. The Government has identified 12 groups of key tasks and solutions.

One of the important tasks that the Government focuses on directing and administering is continuing to implement synchronously and effectively the Resolutions and Conclusions of the Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government; focus on controlling the COVID-19 epidemic and quickly recovering and developing sustainable socio-economic.

Expeditiously implement the Resolutions of the 5th Plenum of the 13th Central Committee, especially on land, collective economy, cooperatives, agriculture, farmers and rural areas; expeditiously complete and submit it to the National Assembly for consideration and amendment of the 2013 Land Law.

Along with that, the Government will proactively manage synchronously, flexibly, closely coordinate monetary, fiscal and other policies to continue maintaining macroeconomic stability, ensuring the balance between the two countries. large and control inflation.

“Promoting sustainable increase in State budget revenue, thoroughly saving expenses, especially non-business expenditures of investment nature.
