By February of this year, during face-to-face meetings in Dallas, Shihab and the informant drove to the Bush residence in Dallas. Court documents document that Shihab videotaped the entrance and exit of the neighborhood and surrounding area.
During this trip Shihab and his informant also went to the George W. Bush Institute and walked around. Shibab also recorded videos of the library and the office area of the institute.
A month later the informant met with Shihab in Columbus and Shihab is said to have examined the gun and US Border Patrol uniform given to him by the informant. Court documents say the guns and uniform were given to the informant by the FBI.
During an FBI interrogation in April this year, Shihab stated that he talked about a smuggling network. But court documents note that Shihab was “not entirely honest about his role” in the plan to bring people to the US.
