1. Weird town – where you can’t die
The town of Longyearbyen, Svalbard, is one of the northernmost settlements on the planet and a place where you…can’t die. There is a cemetery in town, but it hasn’t been used for 70 years.
This is due to the icy climate, which prevents the carcasses from decomposing and the corpses become an attraction for wildlife. Therefore, residents are not allowed to bury their dead here. When a doctor diagnoses someone who cannot live long, the person will be flown to Norway by plane.
