Are anti-electromagnetic radiation patches really effective?-Information Technology

Recently, there have been a lot of products advertised on the internet that have anti-electromagnetic radiation function of phones. Is this really accurate?

When you search for the keyword “anti-electromagnetic radiation patch” on Google, you will see more than 700,000 results within 0.45 seconds. Products are advertised for sale on personal pages and e-commerce platforms with prices ranging from a few tens to several hundred thousand for an anti-electromagnetic radiation sticker.

According to the advertisement, this patch has the effect of eliminating electromagnetic radiation emitted from phones and smart devices, preventing and minimizing headaches, stress, etc., preventing cell aging. The product is made up of ultra-thin gold, EMI (anti-radiation) fiber… users only need to stick it on the back of their phones or electronic devices to prevent radiation.

However, according to the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), if you are going to buy a gold sticker to protect your brain cells from phone radiation, you should stop, and consider spending more money wisely. Simply because this is just a trick, which has been around for a long time.

In June 2011, the FTC issued a warning stating that the so-called radiation shield has no scientific merit at all.

First, let’s address the question: “Does the phone in your pocket give you cancer?” There’s been quite a bit of research done on this, but the answers are still hazy, simply because most of us haven’t used our phones long enough. Usually, tumors will take about 10-20 years to develop.

However, there is no denying that mobile phones still emit small amounts of electromagnetic radiation.

Cell phone radiation is non-ionizing radiation, as opposed to ionizing radiation, meaning it doesn’t break down atoms and molecules, but our bodies still absorb it. How dangerous this absorption is is still being studied.

However, a coin-sized patch placed near the phone antenna will not help reduce the absorption rate of electromagnetic radiation, on the contrary, they sometimes increase the amount of radiation that the phone emits. .

The FTC warns that such stickers can interfere with the phone’s signal, forcing the phone to use more power to communicate with the cell tower and emitting more radiation in the process.

Currently, there is no research to prove the effect of the patch, not to mention that these products do not have a clear origin and safety certification in Vietnam.

If you want to use your phone safely, use a headset instead of holding it constantly. At the same time, make a habit of saying “no” to the phone for a certain period of time, practicing your favorite sport, chatting more with loved ones… instead of holding on to the phone all day.
