Hanoi injected 4 doses of COVID-19 vaccine from June

The Hanoi People’s Committee has just planned to deploy the vaccination against COVID-19, the second booster dose (4th dose) to strengthen and strengthen the immunity against COVID-19 for people aged 50 years and older; people aged 18 years or older with moderate to severe immunodeficiency; people aged 18 years and older are in high-risk groups for exposure to SARS-CoV-2, such as health workers, frontline officials, workers, and people working in industrial zones in the city.

“In case the vaccine source can be arranged, the audience can be expanded according to the direction of the Ministry of Health” – the plan stated.

The city has set a target that more than 95% of those who need a second booster shot of the COVID-19 vaccine will be vaccinated. Implementation period from June 2022; deployed simultaneously throughout the city.

The city will vaccinate all of the above subjects free of charge in the form of campaign vaccination; injected immediately after receiving the vaccine from the Ministry of Health (Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology).

Vaccines used for the second booster injection (shot 4) include: mRNA vaccine (vaccine manufactured by Pfizer or Moderna); vaccines produced by AstraZeneca; vaccine of the same type as the 3rd dose (1st booster).

Up to now, nearly 100% of people aged 18 and over in Hanoi have received the 3rd dose (repeat the first time), nearly 100% of children aged 12-17 have received 2 doses of the vaccine; With children from 5-11 years old, over the past 2 months, more than 181,600 children have been vaccinated with 1st dose.
