NASA launches rocket from Northern Australia for scientific research

The Arnhem Space Center is located on the Dhupuma plateau near Nhulunbuy, on the land of the Gumatj people. The two governments confirmed that the traditional owners of the land were consulted during the project approval process.

NASA is adding capacity and making East Arnhem Land (one of the five regions of the Northern Territory) a global destination for investors. This will help the industry here grow, creating more jobs for locals and more opportunities for businesses to expand.

This project will bring together local and global industry, thereby bringing Australia’s space sector into a new era.
