NASA officially joins the hunt for UFOs

“Over the decades, NASA has responded to calls to solve some of the most baffling mysteries known to us,” Daniel Evans, NASA scientist responsible for coordinating the research, told reporters.

NASA probes have “scoured” the Solar System for fossils of ancient microorganisms, or NASA astronomers look for so-called “technological signs” (technosignatures) on distant planets for signs of advanced civilizations. However, this is the first time the agency has investigated unexplained phenomena in Earth’s sky.

With access to a wide variety of scientific instruments, NASA not only has the resources to demystify UFOs and advance scientific understanding, but it can also find ways to reduce it, according to NASA science mission chief Thomas Zurbuchen. this phenomenon – an important part of the mission to ensure the safety of the aircraft.

NASA’s announcement comes as the field of UFO research – once considered ineffective research – is attracting much attention.

Last month, the US Congress held a public hearing on UFOs. Meanwhile, a US intelligence report last year mentioned 144 UFO encounters, of which the majority were unexplained and did not rule out the alien hypothesis.
