Giant centipede monsters that once appeared in One Punch Man and how they “fly color”

As a humorous manga parody of shonen superheroes and role models, One Punch Man possesses a series of extremely unique monsters. The series creates funny moments through the characters, even taking inspiration from many other popular series, such as the case of Vaccine Man and Marugori. But it seems that writer ONE and artist Yusuke Murata are extremely interested in a monster of the centipede type.

The giant centipede monster appeared in One Punch Man from the beginning of the story and has survived until now, with the return of the newest villain. Up to now, four giant centipede monsters have been introduced, as their names and appearance change, their power also changes. Unfortunately, they were all taken down in the blink of an eye.

1. Centikohai

Centikohai is the first giant centipede monster to appear in One Punch Man. Together with Venus Peopletrap, it tries to kidnap the child of the Hero Association’s patron. However, before the giant centipede could carry out its plan, Metal Bat defeated the Venus Peopletrap and split Centikohai in two. While dying, Centikohai recounted its life story to Metal Bat.

Centikohai used to be a normal centipede, but repeated molting caused it to grow to an abnormal size. Since then, it is believed to be at the top of the food chain. However, then it continued to evolve into the next centipede monster.

2. Centisenpai

Centisenpai made an impressive appearance when Centikohai mentioned its name. Unlike Centikohai, Centisenpai is armored and boasts a body of four meters wide. Not to mention its human face. Although Centisenpai is more dangerous than Centikohai, the poor monster also inevitably ends up discoloring when clashing with Metal Bat.

Metal Bat immediately fights Centisenpai after his duel with Centikohai. While Venus Peopletrap supports Centikohai, Centisenpai has Lafreshidon. Metal Bat initially fought bravely and determinedly against two Demon-class monsters, but was later hypnotized by inhaling Lafreshidon’s aura. Centisenpai took this opportunity to attack Metal Bat. Finally, to escape the effects of the hypnotic gas, Metal Bat hit himself with a stick, then killed both monsters.

3. Centichoro

Although Centichoro is stronger than its two brothers, it is also more focused and less verbose. The giant centipede made its first appearance after Centisenpai’s death, demonstrating the armor’s surprising defenses when Metal Bat’s baseball bat flew out from its impact on the armor.

Centichoro reappeared in the Monster Association arc to rescue Garo, but it lost its life instead. Bang, Bomb and Genos were locked in a war with it, the trio failed to defeat the monster due to its ability to regenerate and molt repeatedly. Just as Bang was about to sacrifice himself, King tricked Centichoro into attacking him. Saitama, hiding behind King, finished off the monster with one punch.

4. Centisennin

Centisennin is a giant centipede monster that appeared in One Punch Man. The monster was revealed after Garou defeated the Platinum Spermatozoon and claimed to appear to destroy the fist against the God, but this ambition was extinguished soon after.

The Centisennin launched an attack towards the helicopter full of people, and a collaboration between Garou and Metal Bat allowed the two to face the monster with more confidence. After some conversation and power-ups, Garou obtained the centipede’s regeneration core. Hero Hunter threw it in the air. When Centisenin gave chase, the body turned into a straight line. Garou simply stepped on top of the monster and finished it off quickly.
