WFP calls for reopening of ports in southern Ukraine

Now Ukraine’s grain cellars are full, while 44 million people around the world are starving. Therefore, the agency considers it necessary to quickly reopen the ports in the Odessa region so that food and food can be transported from here.
WFP calls on all parties involved to allow the transportation of food from Ukraine to where it is needed to prevent hunger from lurking.
Since the beginning of the year, about 276 million people worldwide have faced hunger and this number could increase by 47 million if the conflict in Ukraine continues.
