How to overcome fatigue every day

Do you know what it feels like to win every day? Most people go through life automatically without any thought of what is happening.

Do you see yourself like that? Do you find yourself getting so caught up in a routine that you struggle to make progress toward your goals?

If so, consider these tips and start winning in life every day!

Tip #1: Win in the morning

Henry Ward Beecher once said: “The first hour is the rudder of the day – Golden Hour”.

Be strategic in how you start your morning. If you wake up late, grab a cup of coffee and race to work on time that you set out for the day.

If a rudder steers a ship through its course, your first hour will help set the course of your day.

Set multiple alarms if you need to wake up on time. Get up slowly and take some time to nourish yourself mentally and emotionally before starting your day “work”.

Tip #2: Celebrate the small wins

No matter how full your day is with problem-solving, you have to celebrate the small victories.

Do you wake up on time and get ready for bed before you go to work? Victory!

Finally, have you figured out how to get that column’s total correct on your balance spreadsheet at work? Victory!

Are you under budget this week? Victory!

There’s a lot of good going on each week, so be sure to celebrate it!

Tip #3: Be fully present in every situation

We often find ourselves looking forward to the next weekend, month, holiday, etc. We anticipate the exciting and the disappointing all the time.

Instead of setting such expectations, practice gratitude in the present moment and learn to enjoy it to the fullest. Take the time to talk to your co-workers or children. Don’t let life’s little moments pass you by.

Tip #4: Summarize your day with highs and lows

When we’re tired or stressed, we tend to think we’ve had a very boring or “bad” day. However, if we take the time to analyze our day, we find that there are almost always more positive events that we simply forget.

Even if there are times when we fall, we can reflect on those for a moment and see if we can learn and grow. Start paying attention to everything that happens every day.

Tip #5: Rest and relax at night

How do you end your day? If starting your day is important, so is the end of the day.

Ask yourself what do you enjoy most when relaxing and resting? Watch a movie, read a good book, go for a walk, play with your kids? Pick one of those activities and try it out for a week to see how it makes you feel.
