Mr. Dung said that he and Mrs. TTNP (born in 1990, living in Buon Ma Thuot city, Dak Lak province) got married in 2018. After living together for a short time, the couple divorced after giving birth a few months ago. After about 2 months of being allowed to raise children by the court, at the end of 2019, Mrs. P. asked Mr. Dung to raise the child, so he accepted it and took the child to Kon Tum province for him to work and earn a living.

On April 30, Mr. Dung took his son to Dak Lak for treatment and was taken care of by his grandmother for a few months, while he returned to Kon Tum to work. On May 12, after many video calls to meet his son, Mr. Dung asked, many people said that he had not seen him in the past few days.

Mr. Dung said he still doesn’t know where his son is

Worried, Mr. Dung took the car back to Dak Lak early in the morning on May 14. After taking his ex-wife to breakfast and drinking coffee, Mr. Dung asked where he was, asked to see him, but Mrs. P refused, then gave the death notice.

According to Mr. Dung, in the past few days, he has inquired, searched for his son in many places, filed a report to the police, but still do not know where he is. When working with the police, his ex-wife called a video of the child sleeping, but the cameraman did not show up, so he did not know where and how the child’s health was.

“I never beat my wife, but when I got home, my ex-wife slapped me 4 times. As reported by Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper, on May 11, Mrs. TTNP went to the People’s Committee of Tan An Ward (Buon Ma Thuot City) to carry out the procedures to declare the death of her grandson NHL (SN 2019, her son P.). Mrs. P. said her grandson L. died at 6:30 p.m. on May 4 due to pneumonia and died at home, not at a hospital or medical facility.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Nha, Vice Chairman of Tan An Ward People’s Committee, said that the ward’s staff informed that Mrs. P. had come to the ward to declare her son’s death and had brought relevant identification documents. In the ward, Mrs. P. cried, her face clearly showing sadness and signed a commitment that what she said was true, she should believe it.

“Working with the police of Tan Loi ward – where Ms. P. temporarily resides, she said that the two often had conflicts and frictions. Ms. P. was beaten by her husband, so she declared her son’s death and sent a death certificate.
