Lua coffee shop owned by Mr. Huynh Minh Hiep, located on Nguyen Van Troi Street (Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City) was chosen by the Phu Nhuan District Party Committee as a place to recreate the model of a field hospital for Covid-19 treatment in The most stressful period of 2021. The exhibition is called “Silent” with the running idea of ”The fight against the Covid-19 epidemic – A year of looking back”. Previously, the first case of Covid-19 was recorded in the district on May 30, 2021.
The activity also aims to faithfully recreate the period of social isolation as well as efforts in the prevention of Covid-19 epidemic of Phu Nhuan district after a year of looking back. In the photo is the space “Mini Supermarket 0 VND”. This is a fairly common supermarket model in Phu Nhuan district in particular and Ho Chi Minh City. In general, Ho Chi Minh City aims to help people during the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic.
The exhibition also displays a bunch of vegetables, tomatoes, packages of instant noodles… The gifts are simple but full of love from the country’s compatriots towards Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition, the organizers displayed more than 1,500 documents, including: Directive documents on epidemic prevention and control of the political system from the district to the grassroots; paper forms provided to people to use during the time of social distancing; images, books, newspapers and publications propagating the work of epidemic prevention and control….
Some samples of work confirmation papers, information of volunteer groups during the epidemic season, costumes of frontline forces… are solemnly hung on the wall.
The exhibition also displays more than 2,000 images with the theme of Covid-19 prevention, hundreds of artifacts from 13 wards in Phu Nhuan district, and artifacts collected by the shop will recreate some activities such as vaccination. , testing, epidemic control checkpoints, 0 dong market, going to the market to help people, ATM Oxy…
The vials of vaccines used to immunize against epidemics are kept in wooden boxes by Mr. Hiep.
The isolated areas partly recreate the scene of “going out to the alley to see the ropes” in the peak days.
People came to the exhibition in large numbers. Not only visiting the exhibit, but also giving away what was kept during the quarantine period.
Many artifacts were donated by Mr. Hiep’s friends after the Covid-19 epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh took control. In which, Mc Diem Quynh gave Hiep the Moderna vaccination voucher for this exhibition.
Mr. Huynh Minh Hiep – owner of Lua cafe, shared: “I want to keep these memorabilia for the next generation. To see that the epidemic has passed, these images are very important. I want people to remember and never forget that historic moment, so each piece of paper and artifact will be saved here.” Currently, he has been awarded a certificate by the Vietnam Record Organization to establish the owner of the Collection of Market Vouchers and artifacts and papers related to the Covid-19 epidemic in localities of Vietnam with the largest number.
