Vietnam Clean-up day: Join hands for a greener and cleaner Vietnam

“Vietnam Clean-up Day” is an activity initiated by ACCB (short for Actions for Climate Change and Biodiversity) – a non-profit initiative of young people to connect communities to take action to prevent climate change. climate change and biodiversity loss.

Representing the event organizer, Ms. Tuyet Minh shared: “Within 3 weeks of launching, the program has received applications from more than 200 people. This is the first time the program is held and can be considered as a premise for future development.

BTC also wants to be able to turn Vietnam Clean-up Day into an annual event with the goal of expanding its reach across the country, with at least 1 activity point in each province/city.

This year the event was held at 11 locations in 7 provinces/cities including Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang, Kon Tum, Ho Chi Minh City, Long An and Can Tho. At each activity point, BTC will provide tools for participating members such as gloves, paper bags, garbage cans.

The groups split up to work around the Hoan Kiem Lake flower garden.

Not only at the 11 points mentioned above, other places and provinces/cities across the country can also respond to World Environment Day with green actions and environmental protection activities in a sustainable and long-term way. long.

This activity aims to create a community that loves and acts for the environment. This is also an opportunity for young people to practice many skills and expand their social relationships.
