The car’s launch date has been set to fall in September this year. At the time of launch, the car will have up to 5 engine options, thanks to the shared chassis with the current Renault Captur and Nissan Juke.

Specifically, the CMF-B chassis allows the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2023 to directly borrow engine options from the two SUVs mentioned above without any modification. The lowest of the car options used is the 1.0L 3-cylinder turbocharged 90 horsepower line with a manual transmission.

Right at the top of the list is a 1.3L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 138 horsepower when mated to a 6-speed manual transmission, and 156 horsepower when mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Switching to electrified options, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2023 has 2 configurations: hybrid and plug-in hybrid borrowed from Renault Captur E-Tech. Both versions use the heart of a naturally aspirated 1.6L gasoline engine supported by 2 electric motors and a sophisticated multi-mode gearbox that transmits power to the front axle, but the difference in parameters is quite large. clear.

The self-charging hybrid version has a capacity of 143 hp and is equipped with a battery of only 1.3 kWh, while the electric hybrid version has a total capacity of 158 hp and uses a 10.5 kWh battery, which can be charged with an external power source. This battery also helps the car operate 50 km without fuel.

In terms of design, the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport 2023 does not have anything in common with its predecessor. Instead, the car has the same overall appearance as the Renault Captur because of the similar chassis.

The official teaser of the SUV reveals that the car is equipped with LED headlights, a dynamic bonnet with many embellishments, muscular wheel arches, angular tailgate and LED taillights.
