At least four people were injured in an explosion that targeted a shop frequented by Russian soldiers, amid growing signs of a protest movement in Moscow-controlled Ukrainian territories.

Russia described the explosion as a “terrorist attack” on Russian-controlled territory in Ukraine. While a Ukrainian military official said the cafe had been occupied by Russian officials “having had lunch there since the first days”.

“The explosion shows that the fighting will not stop for a second or a minute. Kherson belongs to Ukraine,” the source said after the attack.

The attack came as the nascent resistance movement was posting “wanted” posters threatening pro-Russian local leaders.

Last week, a car bomb explosion in the port city of Mariupol injured three people in what is believed to be the first major act of guerrilla warfare against collaborators with Russia.
