Students take 3 aptitude tests to be considered for admission to grade 6 Hanoi – Amsterdam

School year 2022-2023, Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted Admissions 5 grade 6 with about 200 students. Eligible candidates are students with permanent residence in Hanoi, who have completed primary school.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training approves the list of students who are admitted to grade 6 at Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted in the school year 2022-2023 in accordance with the enrollment regulations promulgated by the Ministry of Education and Training.

Eligibility conditions are that students must have a transcript at the end of grades 2, 3, 4, 5, and be rewarded with the title “Student who successfully completes the learning and training content”.

Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted will announce instructions, release application forms, … for students on the school’s website from May 25.

The school accepts applications and applications for 6th grade from May 30 to 5:00 p.m. June 1.

This year’s enrollment method is a combination of entrance examination and capacity testing and assessment. In which, round 1 organizes admission for students who are eligible to apply and have valid records. Round 2 will organize a test and assess the capacity for students who have passed the first round.

Specifically, the school held a pre-qualification from June 2, evaluated by scores. The pre-qualification score is determined as follows:

Pre-qualification score = Primary school grade + Priority score

Students with a pre-qualification score of 167 or higher will be tested in round 2.

Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted will announce the list of students who have passed the first round of admission on June 6 at the latest.

In round 2, students must complete 3 tests: Math, Vietnamese, and English; with the form of multiple choice combined with essay.

The test content belongs to the primary education program, mainly in the current 5th grade curriculum of the Ministry of Education and Training; ensure requirements of 4 levels of awareness: awareness, understanding, application and high application.

The test time is 45 minutes per lesson.

The admission score to the school is the total score of the tests.

Admission score = Math test score + Vietnamese test score + English test score

Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted will only consider candidates who have attended all the tests as prescribed, do not violate the regulations to the point of canceling the test results and all the tests have scores greater than 2. on a 10-point scale.

The school will consider from high to low until the quota is filled. If considering the final criterion, there are many candidates with the same admission score, the school will consider and select them in the following order of priority: Having higher pre-qualification scores; have a higher total score in the 5th grade periodical test at the end of the year in Math, Vietnamese, Science, History and Geography; have permanent residence in Cau Giay district.
