According to Mr. Dung, in the past, Ho Chi Minh City used to let F1 students go to school directly, but after new guidance from the Ministry of Health, Ho Chi Minh City has let F1 students isolate at home for 5 days if they have had 2 doses of the vaccine. Get vaccinated and stay home for 7 days if you haven’t been vaccinated against COVID-19 as prescribed.

“At that time, sending F1 students directly to school was quite good. And so far, at the educational level, the education industry has found that sending F1 students to school is consistent with reality, facilitating the teaching and learning of schools, teachers and students’ parents. Therefore, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City and the Department of Health are calculating a proposal for those who have received the COVID-19 vaccine when identified as F1 to still attend school.”Mr. Dung said and said.

According to Mr. Dung, after reaching agreement, the Department will make a report to advise the City People’s Committee for implementation.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has just submitted a proposal to the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to propose adjusting a number of criteria of the School Safety Criteria in the prevention of COVID-19 to match reality.

The Department believes that because the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic is now basically under control in schools, F0 in many districts has gradually decreased such as District 8, Binh Tan, etc. Therefore, day-boarding activities and teaching organizations need to be organized. safely organized under the new normal to ensure student safety.

The Department proposed to add 5 criteria including the rate of students receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, requirements on ventilation conditions of classrooms in educational institutions, arrangement of school health workers, minimum distance Minimum space between two students in a day-boarding activity and the amount of space required for each student in a classroom. In which, the mandatory criterion is the condition of ventilation.

The Department also proposes to abolish the minimum distance of 1 meter in the classroom and 2 meters outside the classroom between two students. Regulations on operating criteria before and after 16:30 for preschool institutions should also be abolished.

At the primary level, the Department proposes that the rate of COVID-19 vaccination for students is 75%, lower than the 95% rate of the Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City.
