According to the prosecution, taking advantage of many people’s lack of understanding of the law in the transfer of land use rights, Nguyen Thai Luyen established 22 companies under Alibaba, assigned his family members or confidants. Practice being a legal representative.

After that, these companies bought a large amount of agricultural land in provinces such as Dong Nai, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria – Vung Tau… and then leveled the ground, built illegal infrastructure, and drew up plans. ghost projects, and then grandly promote them as high-class residential projects to sell to customers.

Using the above tricks, Nguyen Thai Luyen and his accomplices fraudulently appropriated more than VND 2,264 billion from 4,316 customers.

During the investigation, the Investigation Police Agency has seized more than 9.2 billion VND in cash; 257 pieces of yellow metal with an assessment value of more than 645 million VND; 15 pieces of yellow metal with an appraisal value of more than 359 million dong and 20 yellow metal bars that are not gold. The CSDT also temporarily held money in the accounts of 49 individuals who are employees and legal entities of Alibaba Company, with a total amount of more than 45 billion VND; 23 used cars and motorbikes, valued at more than 16 billion VND according to the assessment.

In addition, the authorities also distrained 652 land plots with a total area of ​​more than 4 million m2. The total value according to the results of the above house and land valuation is more than 1,536 billion VND.

The entire amount of money, gold metal has been imported into the evidence warehouse to serve the trial and judgment execution.
