In fact, to raise succulents, you just need to follow the principle of “3 less 2” as follows:

Use less clay

Many flower growers have never raised sucrose before, after buying them they directly use ordinary garden soil or roadside soil to feed, this soil is too sticky, poorly permeable, prone to stagnant water, and rotten roots. . Therefore, you should try not to use potting soil that is too sticky and prone to hardening.

Stone lotus requires a soil with good drainage, can use ingredients including: wholesale coal, ash, sandy soil, cow manure, dynamic fertilizer. Or simply use a mixture of sand, gravel, soil mixed with sand and manure… Depending on the materials you have, it is important that the soil mixture drains well.

Less watering

Provide a moderate amount of water for succulents, because succulents have water retention, so their ability to withstand drought is relatively good. Limit watering in winter.

The manifestation of the lack of water in the succulents is wrinkled leaves and pale leaves. You can use rain water or tap water to water the succulents

Depending on the growing environment (temperature in the room or outside on a sunny balcony), the amount of water will be different, if you leave the plant in a place out of the sun, water should not be left on the succulent leaves. Every 2 – 5 days, water once (depending on the absorbency of the soil).

Less fertilizing

Just apply dilute fertilizer, not too much. If the tree is old, it should be transplanted a new one. Leaf cuttings. Just stick the leaves tilted (or placed horizontally) on the ready-made soil mixture to grow. Note: Keep the soil moderately moist for easier rooting. The separation of seedlings is carried out when turning the pot, choosing to cut the neighboring shoots and then plant them in another pot.

Let the trees receive more sun

Place the plant in a place with moderate light, not too harsh or if it is too shady, the stem and leaves will be spongy, and the leaves will fall easily.

If the succulent is placed in a room or a dimly lit place, it should be exposed to the sun regularly every 2-3 days, 4-5 hours each time in the morning is best.

Increase ambient ventilation

The weather is getting warmer and warmer, and the succulent plants at home are more susceptible to pests and diseases, especially in the summer when the temperature is high, the environment is hot and poorly ventilated, so many types of pests and diseases are easy to occur.

In order to reduce the appearance of pests, it is common to spray some disinfectants, disinfectants and keep the environment well ventilated to limit the growth of bacteria and effectively avoid the generation of pests.
