Investment in key traffic projects is urgent

Continuing the program of the 3rd session, this morning (June 6), the National Assembly deputies discussed at the group about investment policy. project Ring Road 4 in Hanoi capital, Ring Road 3 project in Ho Chi Minh City and expressway construction projects in phase 1 are: Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang; Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot… and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau. These are important transport projects that play a role in promoting the socio-economic development of key economic regions of the country.

Commenting on the project of Ring Road 4 – the Capital region and Ring Road 3 of Ho Chi Minh City, many delegates affirmed that these are important national projects that have an impact on changing the face of infrastructure. , supporting the growth of the two largest economic centers of the country. Currently, it is too late to work on these two meaningful projects, it cannot be slower because it is very urgent.

“In terms of regional development, if Ring 4 is put into use, it will be like the backbone connecting 7 different expressways. These are routes that will be connected when Ring 4 is available, so it makes real sense. When there is Ring 4, all 5 satellite cities will be developed”, said Ms. Vu Thi Luu Mai, Member of the National Assembly of Hanoi.

“Recently, the institution has not been complete and synchronous, so it keeps getting stuck, so at this point, when we approve the investment policy and in the draft resolution, I think it is better to create the most favorable mechanism for the investment. invest in deploying Ring Road 4 in Hanoi, Ring Road 3 in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as 3 expressways”, emphasized Mr. Tran Hoang Ngan, Member of the National Assembly of Ho Chi Minh City.

Besides 2 ring road projects in two big cities, some comments also highly appreciated the investment policy in phase 1 of Chau Doc – Can Tho – Soc Trang expressway; Khanh Hoa – Buon Ma Thuot and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau 3.

Approved, these projects will create new development space for localities where the route runs through. However, some comments also suggested that when implementing these traffic projects, special attention should be paid to the contractor’s capacity to ensure quality and progress.

“In the period of 2021 – 2025, we are implementing a series of large projects, in addition to the North-South expressway project in the East, these 5 projects, and the Ho Chi Minh road. At the same time, implementing many projects such as: So, do we have enough human resources and construction units to deploy or not, we also hope the Government will pay attention to this,” said Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the National Assembly of Can Tho City.
