Samsung’s next event will take place in the next few days, introducing the new mid-range version of the Galaxy A

Thus, it will be an Event Galaxy A – where Samsung will introduce three new mid-range phones: Galaxy A73, Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33. They are respectively the “successors” of the Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52 which were announced in March last year, and the Galaxy A33 will be an upgraded version of the Galaxy A32 which was launched in February 2021.

The Galaxy A trio will be introduced next week.

Rumors suggest that the new affordable phone will have similar specifications and design to its predecessor but will be powered by a new processor.

The Galaxy A73 is expected to feature a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole front camera, a high 120Hz refresh rate, up from the Galaxy A72’s 90Hz, and an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The phone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G chip – the same chip found in the Motorola Edge and Honor 50. As a result, the device will support 5G connectivity (the Galaxy A72 only has LTE).

Most of the rumors suggest that the product will retain the quad camera setup with a 64MP main sensor with optical image stabilization – OIS, 12MP ultra-wide angle camera and 5MP depth sensor. The fourth camera itself can be a telephoto camera or a 5MP depth module. However, the Galaxy A73 will be integrated with a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging, IP67 rating, NFC connectivity, and stereo speakers.

Next up is the Galaxy A53. Last year, the company introduced the Galaxy A52 in 4G and 5G versions, but this year it will only have the Galaxy A53 5G. The phone will be equipped with a new mid-range Exynos chip, manufactured on a more advanced 5nm process, and a 5,000mAh battery (500mAh larger than the Galaxy A52’s battery). The screen size will probably remain the same at 6.5 inches.

The Galaxy A33 will also appear during the event.

Finally, the Galaxy A33 will use the Exynos 1280 SoC or MediaTek Dimensity 720. In addition to the faster chip, the new Galaxy A33 will have IP67 water and dust resistance and 25W faster charging.
