On April 29, the whole country recorded 6,068 new COVID-19 cases, temporarily suspending declaration at border gates

On April 29, the Ministry of Health reported the number of cases from 4pm on April 28 to 4pm on April 29. Accordingly, on the National System of Case Management COVID-19 recorded 6,068 new infections, of which 0 were imported and 6,068 were recorded domestically (a decrease of 1,048 cases compared to the previous day) in 59 provinces and cities (with 4,592 cases in the community).

The localities where the number of infections decreased the most compared to the previous day: Dak Lak (-214), Vinh Phuc (-204), Phu Tho (-89). The localities that recorded the highest number of infections compared to the previous day: Gia Lai (+341), Son La (+30), Da Nang (+19). Average number of new infections in the country recorded in the past 7 days: 8,030 cases/day.

Number of recovered patients announced to be cured in a day: 3,225 cases. Total number of cured cases: 9,245,528 cases.

From 5:30 p.m. on April 28 to 5:30 p.m. on April 29, one death was recorded in Bac Kan.

The number of tests from April 27, 2021 to now has been carried out 39,496,313 samples, equivalent to 85,796,776 turns of people, an increase of 873 samples compared to the previous day.

On April 28, there were 887,474 doses of COVID-19 vaccine injected. Thus, the total number of vaccine doses administered is 214,532,764 doses.

In addition, on the same day, the Ministry of Health has some notable directives:

+ Adjusting the definition of COVID-19 cases and medical measures for close contacts (Dispatch No. 1909/BYT-DP dated April 15, 2022);

+ Temporarily suspending the application of health declaration at border gates for COVID-19 at all Vietnam’s border gates for people entering Vietnam from 00:00 on April 27, 2022 (Official Letter No. 2118/BYT). -DP on April 26, 2022);

+ Annulling documents related to biological products, medical equipment for diagnosis and testing of SARS-CoV-2 (Dispatch 2139/BYT-TB-CT dated April 27, 2022).

– The Ministry of Health is continuing to study, evaluate and review legal regulations and base on the epidemic situation to switch measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic from a group A infectious disease to a group B infectious disease.
