According to Mr. Hung, Vietnam’s nursing force currently has many limitations such as lack of quantity. The number of nurses per thousand people is currently about 1.3, while the average of most countries is 3.2 or like Japan up to more than 12, New Zealand, Australia are more than 11. Regarding training, although nursing training has been upgraded to bachelor’s and master’s degrees and started to train doctoral degrees in nursing from 2019, the teachers are still mainly medical doctors, so the approach is not the right direction. health care (health behavior) but mainly dealing with disease (disease behavior). The nursing team is less involved in the process of planning and formulating accurate medical in general and nursing policy in particular.
