Traffic police of Ho Chi Minh City police informed about the fire of the evidence parking lot in Thu Duc City

The parking lot for the burnt evidence vehicles of the HCMC Traffic Police Department mainly contains blind vehicles, blurred cars, evidence vehicles, illegal vehicles without papers, which have been left unattended for many years without anyone coming to pick them up.

Regarding the fire of the vehicle evidence yard and traffic violations of the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC08) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department, on the afternoon of June 8, the leader of the PC08 Division said that he was coordinating with public agencies. to investigate the cause of the fire.

According to the leader of the PC08 Department, this evidence parking lot mainly contains blind cars, blurred cars, evidence vehicles, illegal vehicles without papers, which have been left unattended for many years without anyone coming to pick them up.

According to the regulations, vehicles that have been left behind for many years, and when no one comes to receive them at the end of the prescribed time limit, will be confiscated, auctioned, or confiscated to state funds.

Recently, not only this parking lot, but also other parking lots managed by the PC08 Department, all ensure a fire protection system, have a guard, and arrange CCTV cameras; Not to mention all vehicles, when brought to storage, ensure the principle of draining gasoline. However, in hot weather conditions, the impoundment of many vehicles still has the potential for fire and explosion.

The leader of PC08 Division acknowledged that in principle, after the police investigation clarified, the responsibilities of PC08 Division would be resolved to that extent.

Previously, as reported by the PLO, the fire at the temporary parking lot for exhibits and violations occurred in the early afternoon of June 6, at 16 Hiep Binh, Hiep Binh Phuoc ward, Thu Duc city.

According to the People’s Committee of Thu Duc City, this parking lot belongs to the Road and Railway Traffic Police Department (PC08) of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department.

After receiving the information, the Ho Chi Minh City Police has mobilized 21 vehicles, 126 officers and soldiers of the police force of Thu Duc, Binh Thanh, KV1 and KV2. After the functional forces put out the fire, by 2:40 p.m. the same day the fire was completely extinguished.

The area where the fire occurred was about 1,100 m2, there were no human casualties.

On the afternoon of June 7, Thu Duc City Police said that initially, when the fire broke out, there were 2,244 motorbikes and 10 cars inside.
