Due to the fact that candidates are admitted and admitted at the same time to many schools, the percentage of virtual candidates is very high, as a result: candidates who “hold their seats” lose opportunities for many other candidates; The schools could not determine the admission rate, leading to enrollment exceeding the target, the quality of enrollment is not completely guaranteed because the school does not consider admission at the same time (the school does not have conditions to select candidates with the right qualifications). better quality). In order to overcome the above shortcomings and inadequacies, the draft Regulation on Admission has made technical adjustments, which is to implement general virtual filtering of all admission methods in the 1st round of admissions.

In fact, the Ministry’s system does not consider admissions, but only supports the arrangement of candidates’ aspirations based on their priorities, in order to choose the highest aspirations that they can be admitted to. Accordingly, candidates will be admitted to the best aspiration in their ability, while minimizing the number of virtual candidates.

There are opinions that this option is not really suitable with the current reality of enrollment in many batches and different methods, it is difficult to run out of virtual reality when some schools do not enter standard data. Not to mention the Ministry of Education and Training only holds the university level, not knowing the number of candidates attending colleges, intermediate schools, studying abroad…. the virtual filter result is also incorrect?

The current enrollment regulation stipulates that training institutions can be considered for admission several times a year, but still stipulates the general schedule for the first batch of admissions, and stipulates that candidates must have graduated from high school or intermediate school to be eligible. conditions for consideration and admission to universities and colleges in Early Childhood Education. Note that the principle of candidates “passing only 1 wish” has both ensured the candidate’s interests (according to the first priority), because if a candidate passes many wishes but only 1 admission, it will take the opportunity of some other contestants. Higher education institutions still ensure their autonomy in enrollment in accordance with regulations, apply diverse selection methods with diverse candidates, and accurately forecast the number of successful candidates. The number of virtual contestants is minimized.

Because of the above benefits, the Ministry of Education and Training’s policy of building and applying a software to register admissions aspirations for virtual filtering has received the consensus of the vast majority of universities through the Admissions conferences, briefings. The goal of 2022 will be virtual filtering common to all admissions methods, technically hardly any more complicated than previous years.
